Welcome to Hide Cottage, a secluded holiday home in the Norfolk Broads, set right on the idyllic River Thurne in the quiet 3000-acre Upper Thurne Nature reserve. Ideal for bird and wildlife watching, fishing, family sightseeing or simply messing about on the river and equally perfect for doing almost nothing, other than getting right away from it all.
Hide Cottage is our own private holiday home, which we use regularly, so you can expect the same standards as if you were borrowing a friend’s house for your holiday. It has stunning views out over the river and nature reserve, is well equipped (including a log burner) and ideal for families and couples alike.
Being in such a beautiful part of the country makes us passionate about the environment and encourages us to reduce the impact of your stay. ‘Eco-holiday’ is perhaps a rather over used term, but at Hide Cottage we are trying hard for it to mean something. Please do click on ‘Eco-holidays’ on the website to find out more.
We only purchased Hide Cottage at the end of 2012 and, having spent the winter making a few improvements (and enjoying it ourselves), we now are inviting people to come and stay from March 2013. We do hope that you will be one of them and that we’ll have the pleasure of welcoming you soon.
Best regards,
The Jenkins & Stuart Families
