Service and Maintenance Contracts
To ensure continued safe, efficient and reliable operation, air conditioning systems require ongoing service and maintenance. With manufacturer's warranties of up to 5 years, provided regular maintenance has been performed, a service contract is a necessity to prolong the life of your installation and potentially save you money.

At HAR we offer maintenance contracts tailored to suit your requirements whether your equipment was installed by us or another company. A basic commercial service package consists of 2 visits per year to ensure warranties remain valid. Prices start from as little as £35 per annum.

For breakdowns we offer a 24 hour callout service 365 days a year, with a targeted maximum response time of 4 hours.

Our service engineers receive ongoing training to ensure they remain at the forefront of new technology and with service vehicles equipped with a range of spare parts; we will rectify the majority of faults during the first visit.

If you decide not to take a maintenance contract, HAR can service and repair your air conditioning installation on a callout basis at very competitive rates.

An air to air heat pump uses outside air to heat the inside of a building. This is achieved by transferring heat from the outside air to the inside by using a system which includes refrigerant gas, a heat exchanger and a compressor. The ambient outside air contains heat even on the coldest days, this heat is absorbed by refrigerant in the outdoor unit and is then pumped to the indoor unit where it is turned in to hot air and distributed around the building by the use of fans.
Air source heat pumps can also provide cooling for a property and include air purification technology which reduces airborne allergens and can be beneficial to allergy and asthma sufferers.
The energy efficiency of air source heat pumps is indicated by its COP value (Coefficient of Performance). The COP is a calculation of the amount of cooling or heating energy produced by the system compared to the amount of electrical energy used. A typical COP for an air to air heat pump is around 4.5, which means for each kilowatt of electricity consumed, 4.5 kilowatts of heat / cooling energy is produced. The COP decreases as the outside temperature falls but air to air heat pumps continue to be more efficient than traditional gas, oil or electric heating systems at temperatures well below freezing.

As well as offices and homes, air source heat pumps are suitable for installation in factories and industrial units and are becoming increasingly popular in churches due to their efficiency and compact, unintrusive design.
