For women and their families who are planning a home birth, have had a home birth, or are just interested in finding out more.

We meet on the second Monday of every month from 10am (flexible start if your running late) to 12pm at North Chaddesden Sure Start Children’s Centre, Audrey Drive, Chaddesden, Derby, DE21 4NP. We will also be holding quarterly meets in the evenings at 7:30 on the last Wednesday of the month in January, April, July and October. Starting on the 29th October. please contact us for the address due to it being one of our houses.
All of our meets are aimed at mums and mums to be with ANY interest in home birth - either planning one or having had one or a general interest in home birth.
the childrens centre has fab facilities for children, we provide refreshments and only ask for a small donation. we also have books and a birth pool to loan out.

We believe that when women and their partners are planning a homebirth, it is empowering to talk to others who have had a homebirth and people who support homebirthing. We offer a supportive and relaxed environment for you to meet with like-minded families and share your experiences, hopes and concerns. We also offer refreshments and toys for little ones.

We ask for a contribution of £1 per family where possible, to help with the cost of refreshments and administration.

This group is set up to provide a link between families in Derbyshire and surrounding areas who share an interest in homebirth. Please respect our request to keep this an advert-free zone.
