Home-Start Basildon District works with families within the district who have at least one child under 5 years old. Volunteers provide support for 2 hours per week. They can provide practical support in the home, a listening ear & help parents get out.

Home-Start Basildon District has been working with Basildon, Billericay & Wickford families since 1996. Families must have at least one child under 5 years old to access our service. We support families by matching a volunteer with the family who will offer friendship, someone to have a chat to, provide some practical support in the home and help parents with getting out of the house. Our volunteers help families access Parent-Toddler groups, go to the park, doctors appointments and other services they may need. We take great care when matching volunteers with families to ensure that the family gets the support they need.
