The Nicholls family moved to the picturesque north Hertfordshire village of Ickleford in 1965, and ran the family farm at Lower Green, starting a livery yard.

Richard and Debbie Nicholls opened the riding school in 1990, catering for all ages and abilities. Richard and Debbie then concentrated on the the pony club icklefordequestrian side of the business becoming a
pony club centre (www.pcuk.org), and an approved British riding school (www.abrs-info.org).

As well as riding lessons and a livery yard to suit owners individual needs, the centre now has a Saturday morning club, pony club rallies, school holiday activities, pony club summer camps, evening courses in stable management, BHS stage 1 & 2 Training , BHS Horse Owner Exams, riding and road safety training and exams and a variety of equestrian shows and providing qaulity, safe horses and ponies for sale.
