Ilkley and District Good Neighbours are a team of volunteers providing assistance to the elderly and vulnerable people of the district.

llkley & District Good Neighbours was first set up in the 1970's. It comprises a team of local volunteers managed from the Ilkley office of Keighley & Ilkley Voluntary and Community Action. We are here to help residents in the area by offering practical assistance where it is needed. Good Neighbours is a small charity which operates a range of schemes, constantly striving to develop the service to improve the lives of our most vulnerable members of the community. We are always willing to start and develop a scheme where we have established there is a community need.



We believe in the power of community action to make a difference in people's daily lives. For each of our schemes we raise a team of volunteers who are willing to help others in their community in a number of ways.



Our Home & Garden Assist venture is the arm of our organisation which deals with helping people out around the house. It is composed of a band of DIYers and gardeners who visit homes in Ilkley and district to tidy gardens, change light-bulbs and much more.
