I have a particular interest in dealing with Stress and Anxiety based conditions including, panic attacks, fears and phobias.
After my fist visit to a Clinical Hypnotherapist as a client, I knew immediately that this is what I wanted to do.
I enrolled on a course with the LCCH and was very fortunate to be trained by Angela Trainer at the Harvest Clinic in Glasgow. Since setting up my own practice in 1993 I am delighted to say my association with LCCH continues. Regular masterclasses are offered for Personal Development and to keep therapists up to date with new techniques. I am also registered as a tutor for students studying with LCCH as well as well as a supervisor for therapists registered with the BSCH.
In 1996 I added a Post Graduate Certificate in Counselling and in 1997 a Certificate in Stress Management to my qualifications. I find this particular combination of skills work very well together, enabling me to work with my clients at whatever level is appropriate. In 2013 I became a registered Hypnotension Practitioner.
Having been a therapist for over 20 years, I am delighted to say a large proportion of my clients come from recommendation and referral. While living in Aberdeen, I worked at Aberdeen Counselling Centre, within Albyn Hospital as a Stress Management Counsellor. At the moment I am delighted to be working with Aberdeen Council Voluntary Organisation delivering a Relax and Recharge workshop to staff and volunteers within the Third Sector.
Over the years I have worked with many organisations and individuals offering practical support in the form of Stress Management Workshops and One to One Counselling. At the moment I am working with ACVO presenting a Relax and Recharge Workshop to staff and volunteers within various charities in Aberdeen. I am a member of the International Stress Management Association (ISMA).
