Welcome to the official Facebook page of Kerfoots - one of the oldest independent department stores in Wales.
Kerfoots was built in 1874 and was then known as "Siop Fawr" and owned by a saddler called Owen Roberts. The shop opened as a hardware and ironmongery store and over the years has changed hands and has also changed the products sold to keep up with the demands and needs of the local customers.
The Kerfoots name came from a previous owner called Norman Ditchburn who bought Owen Roberts' shop in 1951 and he also owned a few hardware shops in North Wales called Kerfoots-Hughes. He immediately changed the name to Owen Roberts & Kerfoots and two years later it was changed to Kerfoots.
Kerfoots is a three storey department store which at present has a vast range of quality products which include housewares, tabletop, lifestyle clothing and gifts. There is also a coffee shop on the first floor.
