For 2016/17 season, Portmoak merged with Kinross Colts to become Kinross Colts AFC. Team sponsor is The Muirs Inn, Kinross.
The club began as a Thursday night 5 a-side game for locals of the Kinnesswood/Scotlandwell area.
Over the years more and more young players have become involved and the club took the decision to step up to 11 a-side amateur football.
