The Galashiels Kip McGrath Education Centre, is a new centre run by Morwenna Montgomery, an experienced Support for Learning teacher with 16 years teaching experience. The centre will initially be offering additional tutoring in English and Maths to students aged 5 - 18 including National 4/5 and Higher Grade exam tutoring delivered by experienced teachers at the appropriate level. The Galashiels centre will be serving Galashiels, Melrose, Tweedbank, Clovenfords, Selkirk and the surrounding areas. Tutoring sessions will be run after-school Monday-Thursday, Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

We only employ qualified and motivational teachers to tutor Primary and Secondary students who along with our exclusive state of the art teaching resources, ensure children learn in a safe, welcoming and inspiring environment.

Your child will be invited to attend a free assessment which is without obligation. This is an opportunity for you and your child to visit the centre and see how the tutoring sessions are run and the resources used. The assessment is not a test it enables us to identify areas of strength and weakness and highlight any gaps in learning your child may have. The results will be discussed with you in detail so you are fully informed of what the centre can offer to support your child.

All students attend the centre each week for an 80 minute lesson per subject. The lesson involves individual tuition by an appropriately qualified teacher, and a combination of written and computer activities to reinforce the lesson being taught. Every student follows their own individualised learning programme based on your child's specific learning needs and style.
