Kirklington is a village in the English county of North Yorkshire close to the A1. Kirklington forms the major part of the civil parish of Kirklington cum Upsland which is in the district of Hambleton.The 2001 UK Census recorded the population of the parishes of Kirklington cum Upsland, Howgrave and Sutton with Howgrave as 204, of which 168 were over the age of sixteen years and 82 of those were in employment. There were 88 dwellings in the village of which 46 were detached. The estimated population of Kirklington cum Upsland alone was 200 in 2010.GovernanceThe village lies within the Richmond UK Parliament constituency.
