The Maritime Cadets is a National Youth Organisation promoting adventurous activities for Cadets of 8-18 years of age

NAVY CADETS:
Have you got what it takes to be a Navy Cadet? You need to be between 12-18, keen to test your talents and eager to learn new skills! From camp craft to kayaking, marching band to cookery, there are so many challenging and exciting opportunities waiting for you.

Take part in all kinds of events from Parades to Duke of Edinburgh’s Award as well as learning valuable and fun based skills as you train. Not only will it be fun, but your new skills will definitely give you a head start in life and boost your confidence!


MARINE CADETS:
Marine Cadets are Detachments within the Navy Cadet Units and do all the exciting waterborne activities as well as more serious adventurous training. Specialising in activities such as orienteering, field craft and weapon handling plus taking part in training sessions across the country to test their navigational skills and challenge themselves as they work together as a troop.

You can join at 12 and stay till you are 18, at that age you can stay on as an Adult Volunteer and help train a new generation of youngsters.


JUNIOR CADETS:
Junior Cadets are attached to the Navy Cadet Units and are open to all aged 8-12. Juniors do loads of exciting and fun activities like day trips, playing on boats, arts and crafts as well as learning about the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy.
