The Leyton Kumon Centre opened in October 2015.
As someone who has always been passionate about education I saw the benefits of the Kumon programme straight away.
My belief in the value of Kumon only became stronger once my own two sons excelled in their studies after only six months into the programme.
Having seen the results for myself, I wanted to give all students the opportunity to learn, to build self confidence and to reach their potential. In short, I wanted all children to inherit the skills that the programme is teaching my children.
Kumon stood out from the rest because it gave the opportunity to children to practice and master each fundamental level before moving on.
To become a great footballer, musician or artist, daily practice is a necessity. The same is true for maths and English. The idea of completing work daily might seem daunting to those who only receive homework from school once a week.
However, for those children studying Kumon, homework is not the exception, but the rule and the results for these children speak for themselves.
I love what I do and the best part of being an instructor is helping children feel that they can succeed at what they do.
For me, every student is a student with potential.
