The Garden House is a beautiful 4 * holiday cottage located in one of the most stunning locations in the Lake District. The cottage benefits from a lovely lawned garden and patio area that has amazing views of land once owned by Beatrix Potter, Monk Coniston and the Yewdale Fells. There is parking for one car on the estate's small private car park and a large private store that can house up to 4 bikes and 2 canoes. It is mere metres from the lake where there is a jetty located for drop offs and pick ups on the Steam Yacht Gondola. Brantwood (John Ruskin's former home), Bank Ground Farm and Swallows and Amazons Tea Rooms (where Arthur Ransome wrote his famous books), Monk Coniston (once owned by Beatrix Potter), Tarn Hows (created by James Garth Marshall), Coniston Village and Coniston Old Man are all within walking distance from the cottage. There are a myriad walks, cycle trails, climbs etc literally on the doorstep as well as plenty of quintessential Lakeland villages nearby, including Hawkshead and Ambleside.
