Preserving historic buildings in Loddon, Norfolk for the benefit of the community: the LBPT looks after two buildings, the Hollies and the Library Annex.
The Loddon Buildings Preservation Trust (LBPT) manages and maintains two historic buildings in the village of Loddon in South Norfolk.
Both buildings are used by the community for a wide range of events. Several different rooms are available for hire.
At the Hollies, in the High Street, there is a large hall with a sprung wooden floor. Behind this is a second large room that can be hired together with the main hall, or separately. Between the hall and the second room is a kitchen. A third office room can be hired for interviews or appraisals. Behind the main building is a second building that also belongs to the Hollies and this is the home of the Loddon Nursery School (http://www.loddonnurseryschool.co.uk/).
During the week, the Funky Feet dance school (https://www.facebook.com/Funkyfeetschooldofdance/) uses the main hall several afternoons and evenings. On Tuesday mornings between 0915 and 1030, Loddon Country Market (http://www.loddoncountrymarket.co.uk/) has a lovely market.
The Library Annex consists of the two rooms behind the library in Church Plain. One of the rooms is the home of Loddon Parish Council. The second hall with high ceiling, large windows and a sealed wooden floor is available to hire. There is a small kitchen off the hall.
The LBPT is a charity and is administered by trustees and volunteers. If you would like to get involved, please contact us via Facebook, or 01508 521173.
