Highcliffe is Dorset's hidden secret. It's location is second to none, award winning beaches, the resting place of Mr Selfridge, Highcliffe Castle, spitting distance to Chewton Glen Spa, The Lord Bute hotel, Chewton Bunny - they are a given but the street is changing. Buildings are being bought, knocked down and remodelled. New businesses have set up or expanded, bollards have mysteriously been painted to pretty up the village, there is to be a new heritage trail, beach huts, James Martin is setting up a cookery school at the Chewton Glen, regeneration is being talked about as a "given". And there a number of vibrant businesses in the area too - Muir Chapman hairdressers, Sunshack sun tanning shop, Beauty a gorgeous beauty salon, Blue Sky Del, Fire & Ice cafe, The Paddle........and the beaches award winning and unspoiled. Just 1.45 minutes direct train from London's Waterloo it's no wonder that many new people are coming to the area and thinking they have just walked into a little slice of heaven. They have.
