Canoe and Kayak club based in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire
Lower Wharfe Canoe club is a family orientated club, with a base at Tadcaster Community Swimming Pool, and Bishopthorpe on the River Ouse. We have a wide range of members aged 8 to 80 who enjoy the sports of canoeing and kayaking. We meet at 6.30pm on Thursday evenings by the River Ouse at the Marina Campsite on Ferry Lane. Dates for beginners are July 7th, 21st and August 4th, 18th and 25th.
We are a friendly welcoming club that run many water and non-water based events that are well attended. The club has a large number of both adults and children who enjoy the sport and develop their skills onto faster moving water, and into high level competitions through the slalom section, with our most successful paddlers going on to compete for Great Britain at international events.
The club is open to all abilities and it is a great place to come along and have a go at a new activity. To contact us please email contact@lowerwharfe.org.uk or visit our website for more information www. lowerwharfe.org.uk.
