The RAF Red Arrows have been flying over Lyme Regis for more than 40 years, delighting tens of thousands of locals and visitors and helping to raise a lot of money to support the town's brave lifeboat crew. Due to a privatisation of their services [which has nothing to do with the Arrows nor the RAF] Lyme was been told it would have to pay between £12,000 and £17,000 for the Arrows to fly here again.
Lyme is very proud of its long association with the Arrows so a fundraising appeal was launched to ensure this continued - with many local business and residents quickly raising the needed funds.
The Red Arrows will now be returning to Lyme Regis on Thursday, July 21st 2016 at 7pm.
