The Ascot store is one of the oldest and most well known of the Maidenhead Aquatics stores, with a long list of regular clientele.
It boasts a large selection of tropical, marine and coldwater fish (including pond fish and Koi,) and is renowned for stocking some of the more unusual tropicals, including many lesser known species. We stock a variety of potted, bunched and 'specialist' plants, and advice on setting-up natural planted aquaria is on hand. We boast a large selection of super colourful European bred Malawi, Mbuna, and Tanganyikan cichlids.
In 2012, we undertook a complete overhaul on our marine fish and invertebrate systems. The total volume of these systems have increased significantly, so we now hold double the livestock than previously. The large marine fish display behind the counter remains a popular feature of this busy store, and the reef display looks fantastic under it's impressive new LED lightning system.
Our new Coldwater and Temperate Fish Room allows us to stock a greater range of Fancy Goldfish and 'temperature tolerant' species. We will be stocking some of the more rare and unusual fancy goldfish varieties, such as Sabao ('Tamasaba') goldfish from Japan. Please call for our current availability.
The koi pond is more popular than ever, particularly with children: For a small fee you and your children can enjoy feeding the koi, and because the pond is situated in a covered area, rainy weather won't spoil the fun!
Each Spring we pride ourselves in our vast range of pond plants. We have a large area which we dedicate to all manner of pond and pond-side plants and lilies.
We have an enormous range of aquarium decor to choose from: amazing plastic plants, real and artificial wood and rock, and an incredible variety of ornaments, such as castles and shipwrecks.
Please come along and browse our range of aquariums, some of which are exclusive to Maidenhead Aquatics.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
