Maldon Karate Club was founded in 1976. Club Instructors are Sensei Steve Gibbs (5th Dan & HKK Chairman) John Spurgeon (3rd Dan) & Russ Leach (2nd Dan).
Maldon Karate Club was founded in 1976 by Les Birkin, (currently 6th dan).
Ray Widdowfield (1st Dan) then took control of the club followed by Pete Mason (1st Dan) Steve Gibbs (currently 5th Dan) took over in 1983 and is still running the club to present.
Maldon Higashi Karate Club

Over the years Maldon has achieved excellent results in competitions, as high as international level, and our squad goes from strength to strength.
