Our award-winning Nursery has been voted 10/10 by parents and is perfect for children from 2-4 who are taking their first steps away from home.
Welcome to the Manor House School Nursery.
Our award-winning Nursery was voted 10/10 by parents in 2016 and is perfect for children between the ages of 2 and 4 who are taking their first steps away from home. From January 2017 we are becoming Co Educational and welcoming both boys and girls to our special setting.
We provide flexibility of day care and offer three session options to fit with you and your child along with offering discounts for those wishing to attend 4 or more sessions per week.
Children can join our Nursery at any time during the academic year, following their second birthday. We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing and welcoming start to school life, and we strive to create an environment specifically designed to meet the needs of each individual child. We offer an excellent curriculum providing first class teaching along with specialist lessons in Dance, French, Music and PE.
Our Nursery is a place where children will be inspired to discover, learn and make friends.
Our Nursery is a calm, caring environment where your child can discover, absorb, learn, play and have fun. Our pupils learn to care for others and for their environment. They become independent, confident individuals with excellent social skills and emerging self-discipline.
The Manor House Nursery is based upon the Early Years Foundation Stage with elements of the Montessori system, an approach that draws its principles from the natural development of the child.
Mrs Roy, our dedicated Nursery Manager, leads a team of fully qualified Early Years practitioners, all of whom are highly trained to build positive relationships with every child, deliver the best possible care and promote excellent academic standards. Nursery children are divided into small working groups, each with their own key member of staff. The setting is Ofsted registered and has been widely praised by inspectors from both Ofsted and ISI in recent years.
We have our own Forest School and purpose-built Early Years facilities. These include two wonderful play areas; an outdoor all-weather playground which includes sand and water play, climbing frames, lots of bicycles, a train and much-loved pirate ship and an orchard garden. Our Nursery Manager has achieved a Bronze Woodland Trust Award in recognition of her excellent outdoor learning provision.
Our outstanding, purpose-built classrooms are located in a quiet, secure area of the school and provide a happy, dedicated environment for your child. All classrooms have easy access to an all-weather outdoor playground and the children also benefit from regular outdoor learning sessions in The Dell – an outdoor classroom set amidst our extensive grounds where the children regularly explore and engage in nature walks and practical learning activities.
“Personal and emotional development is a strength throughout the setting. Behaviour is excellent, due to the example set by the caring and committed staff.” – ISI Inspection Report
