A period building built by George Durant in 1811, the Bell is surrounded by the beautiful Shropshire countryside alive with local history. The site itself for the Bell is thought to have been chosen for the buttercross on the turnpike, now marked by an 18th century obelisk. Nowadays the pub is located on Newport Road in the picturesque village of Tong, equidistant between Telford and Wolverhampton, and boasts a warm and friendly atmosphere. The Bell serves a deliciously varied menu, including the great British classics and a range of light bites, salads and sandwiches. Pub food is served daily throughout the week, including a Sunday carvery - subject to availability. Our conservatory, set to the side of our huge orchard style beer garden makes a fantastic setting for a relaxed family drink and can also be dressed for a more formal gathering. Weston Park is minutes away, and the Bell is situated on the A41, close to major trunk roads A5 and M54, so if you're travelling we make an excellent choice for a well earned break. We look forward to welcoming you at the Bell, Tong, soon! Have a look around:
