The Medivet Southend-on-sea hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Medivet Southend is a 24/7 hospital providing around-the-clock care for our patients. Not only do we look after patients requiring overnight care from other local Medivet branches, we also provide an out-of-hours service for other local veterinary practices.
We are a dedicated & dynamic team at Southend, consistently striving for outstanding customer service and patient care. Our front-of-house and Veterinary Nursing team are always more than happy to advise & reassure, and local pet-owners can rest at ease knowing they have us on their doorstep, ready to help at any hour.
We are also the appointed out-of-hours service for Southend & Rochford councils & the Dog Warden, responsible for taking in strays* and doing our best to make sure none 'fall through the cracks'. We are always delighted when we can reunite a lost dog with their owners.

(*stray dogs - regrettably, we can only take in cats assumed to be strays if injured or in need of veterinary attention: we will be more than happy to check if a healthy cat has a microchip & check it over, but will ask the finder to return it to where they found it).
