I am a qualified Nutritional Therapist and a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT). I am also a registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
In 2003 I began training as a nutritional therapist at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition. I completed a two year science foundation course and a three year Nutritional Therapy Diploma from which I graduated in 2009.
The focus of nutritional therapy is the enhancement of health through changing the diet and lifestyle of individuals. Nutritional therapy treats the whole person and takes into account biochemical individuality. Treatment may also involve manipulation of nutritional status with the use of food supplements. Good nutrition can provide support for a wide range of conditions, some of which may not initially appear related to diet.
Conditions include:
* Allergies
* Digestive complaints
* Endometriosis
* Diabetes and blood sugar problems
* Lethargy
* Behavioural problems including hyperactivity
* Infertility
* Chronic Fatigue
* Weightloss
* Skin Problems – eczema, acne
* Migraines
