The Oxted Young Persons’ Theatre is a dynamic new youth theatre for young people aged between 11-19,based in the heart of Oxted. Rather than a standard stage school, we are a youth theatre that specialises in enabling young people to gain confidence, work collaboratively, learn about different drama techniques, meet professional actors and perform to audiences in youth theatre festivals. We also organise trips to West End theatres.
Following the success of our taster workshops, we are running 3 different groups:
15-19 year olds Mondays 5.00pm – 6.30pm
14+ SEN group Tuesday 7.00pm – 8.15pm (working out of the Orpheus center)
11-14 year olds Wednesdays 5.00pm – 6.30pm.
All our staff are qualified drama teachers with experience of working with youth theatres all over the country. We run weekly termtime classes as well as half- term and holiday clubs.
