Built around 1576 we’re a former 16th Century smuggler’s inn and many tales are told of the Aldringham smugglers. However now we are more famous for our warm welcome and excellent home cooked menu which has customers travelling from near and far for Chef Paul’s delights. Our fish and chips a firm favourite as well as our homemade pies and featured curry dish. Pop in for a drink or a meal, and enjoy our quirky yet comfortable interior. Easy to find just off the A12 turning towards Aldeburgh, then its left towards Leiston and Knodishall and you'll find us after a left hand turning to Aldringham we are 200 yards down on the right hand side with plenty of parking, a garden for the children to run off some energy, we have Petanque, league games as well as friendlies - you can play at any time just ask behind the bar there's no fee and its great fun! We can also cater for your parties seating up to 25. (45 covers in total) The times shown are when we are serving food. Please note we are closed on Sunday evenings in winter months.
