We are a family run, family friendly site.

We are situated in the heart of the Peak District and in walking distance from the small market town of Ashbourne.

Unlike many sites in the area we are open year round for seasonal and static pitch owners, and offer touring, tent, electric tent and motorhome pitches for most of the year, from mid February to mid November.

Our motto is ‘Peak Gateway - more than just a campsite’, which we believe we are, going above and beyond to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible.

As well as providing electric hook up, wash up and shower facilities we have a vast array of other facilities, these include our newly renovated bar ‘The Outside Inn’ which is open all weekend nights and many week days in the summer. Also our café, ‘The Big Teapot’, which serves Breakfast, midday snacks and evening meals as well as Sunday Dinners on special weekends. Our shop in reception, which has also recently been expanded, supplies necessities such as bread and milk, as well as sweets and drinks.

The Blenheim room is the largest of our facilities, with the ability to hold up to 3oo people. The room has many differing purposes over the year, from providing a base of our Ester egg hunt in April to the stage for our annual show of ‘Peak Gateways Got Talent.’ This room allows us to present a variety of entertainment over the season.

It is equally important to us to entertain the children on site and our facilities; the Bubble Arcade, outdoor play area, 3 trampolines, 3 bouncy castles (only used weather permitting) help us keep everyone happy. We also have 4, 2 seater petrol grass buggies which give everyone the chance to unleash their inner child.

The combination of all these facilities means there is always a place open to escape the unpredictable English weather so your stay with us can be enjoyable no matter what.
