We provide a safe & happy play environment for the children of Pencaitland and surrounding areas.

Welcome to Pencaitland Playgroup. Open for over 40 years, the Playgroup has a long tradition of working with the children between 2 and 3 years old within East Lothian. We have two full-time, qualified, experienced staff members. Daily activities change regularly and include : sand & water play, art & craft activities, outdoor play, construction toys, role play, table top activities, baking, reading, music and movement.

We offer sessions during school term time, Mondays to Thursdays from 9.15am to 11.15am.

Children can be added to our waiting list from 18 months of age. Any queries in relation to starting Playgroup should be forwarded, by email, to the Secretary at pencaitland_playgroup@yahoo.co.uk.

The Playgroup is run by a committee of parents and carers which is integral to our day to day running. As Playgroup is a registered charity we rely on parental support at our Fundraising events held throughout the year. We also have a parent helper at Playgroup each day to assist our two staff.
