Renton Muslim Education Centre is commonly known as Renton Mosque and is managed by the West Dumbartonshire Muslim Education Society, Scotland
The masjid has capacity for over 200 male worshipers and over 100 female worshipers in the upstairs hall. The centre also has a fully working kitchen area and modern facilities.
Along with Jumaa/Eid prayers the centre also holds Quran classes on the weekends though the aspiration is to be open for all 5 salah/prayers and offer Quran school during the week.
You can also reserve the centre for small functions for up to 250 people. The centre has access to parking (over 20 vehicles) which is next to the Renton playing fields and a modern children's play area. The site was provided by the council after the original worship hall was purchased by the council to satisfy a local housing shortage. The West Dumbatonshire Muslim Education Society took over the then empty Victoria Institute building and refurbished to meet the standards of a modern masjid/mosque. The management is supported by the local community which must make more use of the centre to ensure a long term sustainable future.
