Ridgeway Academy is situated in Astwood Bank, Redditch, Worcestershire. There are currently over 450 pupils on roll from the ages of 9-13 (yr5-yr8). From September 2016 we will be becoming a secondary school catering for up to 600 11-16 year olds. The school serves Astwood Bank and surrounding areas of Redditch. We work closely with Astwood Bank First School, Feckenham First School and Crabbs Cross Academy although we tend to take pupils from a number of First Schools in and around the Redditch area.

Staff and pupils enjoy our lovely surroundings and spacious playing fields. Our Year 5 pupils have their own area of the school. We have great facilities; the usual specialist classrooms such as Food Technology, Science Lab, ICT suites, music room and practice areas as well as a variety of classrooms.

We are proud of our school garden and our Green Flag status. We have our own school livestock on our grounds that the pupils look after. We also offer pupils in Yr7 and Yr8 the opportunity to sit Level 2 Functional Skills (equivalent to half a GCSE).

Our pupils are friendly, polite and enjoy school. Our staff work hard to ensure pupils feel safe, enjoy school and learn. When pupils leave Ridgeway, they are equipped with experiences and skills that will ensure they are prepared for the next stage in their education.
