R M Fisher was founded nearly 60 years ago by (Richard Metcalfe) Dick Fisher. Dick and his wife Jean founded the business in 1956. Dick combined building up his business with a semi-professional career in speedway, riding for and captaining the Belle Vue Aces in the 1960's. He rode in the World Final 3 times. Dick worked hard to build up his business and, amazingly, it is still owned by the family who founded it.
