Ross-on-Wye Neighbourhood Development Plan

Creating a shared vision for the future of Ross-on-Wye.

A new tier of planning now gives power to local communities. Neighbourhood Plans give communities greater influence over future development with local level vision for the future, objectives and planning policies.

We are preparing our own Neighbourhood Plan here in Ross. Our plan will add further detail to the Herefordshire Local Plan, a document which guides development in the district over the next 20 years.

The preparation of the neighbourhood plan is being led by a steering group of local people with the support of Ross-on-Wye Town Council. The aim of the neighbourhood plan team is to engage widely with individuals and groups in Ross in the production of a plan that will reflect local aspirations. Only local knowledge and understanding of challenges and opportunities for Ross and the local area can inform and shape a truly local plan.
