The Edinburgh Ducati service agent has now set aside showroom space for the full Enfield range with demo bikes.
‘The word is that we are expecting new models, but the Continental is such a great bike to ride that there’s a lot of interest, ‘ explained Ian. And the team here have also recently been developing a Stage 1 performance pack for the GT increasing power by 60% over standard. With a bespoke locally made stainless exhaust system, air box conversion and a Dynojet PCV with custom map designed in house on Ian’s Dyno.
Certainly sales have soared in the last 12-months, and now with a main dealer in Edinburgh that will go from strength to strength. With his enthusiasm for ‘something a little different,’ Ian will be providing existing owners’ with spares and servicing facilities as opposed to just a shop window for Enfield products.
‘The whole staff went down South recently to meet the guys from Royal Enfield and get familiar with the bikes. We had a great time and we are all looking forward to working with them,’ explained Ian.
‘I had already ridden the GT and honestly, I think it’s a great bike from the value for money point of view. It’s absolutely bullet-proof and great fun. I think for a lot of owners’ it could be a great second bike and obviously the café racer styling is spot on with the current trend. I was sold on the bike before we considered taking it on.’ And now with their Stage 1 conversion kit it will be even more appealing..
