Independent/private Occupational Therapist and associate Occupational Therapist for The OT Practice.

Sakura Occupational Therapy is owned and run by me – Lucy Austen. I’m a fully qualified Occupational Therapist with over 9 years of experience in neurological rehabilitation (cognitive and physical); housing (minor and major adaptations); moving and handling; seating and assessment and advice in relation to basic and specialist equipment to increase a client’s independence within/outside of the home environment.

As an Occupational Therapist I can work with you to try and help you to remain as independent as possible. This could be by altering an activity you are having difficulty completing; adapting your home/work/leisure environment and or providing advice/strategies to enable you to remain or return to undertaking said activity. In addition to this I could also work with you to design and provide recommendations in relation to major adaptations to your property e.g. level access showers/wet rooms/ extensions.

Occupational Therapy Assessments are individually prepared for each client with appropriate recommendations for minor and major equipment, specialist moving and handling, basic and complex adaptations, seating, neurological rehabilitation, long term neurological conditions and acquired brain injury, seating, care needs, support and rehabilitation as required by the client.
