SamoVila is run by Michaela Ritter, who is a fully qualified Dipl Herbalist. She has been working with and studying herbs and essential oils since 1992 and has acquired a very broad knowledge about their medicinal as well as spiritual use. Michaela further completed and passed courses in Equine Health by Nicola Kerbyson, BVMS, Cert AVP (EM), MRCVS and Nutritional Management of Laminitis by Dr Jo-Anne Murray PhD, MsC, PgDip, PgCert, BSc (Hons), BHSII, RNutr, FHEA. Michaela is currently studying to achieve diplomas in Aromatherapy and Naturopathy in due course. Due to the vast knowledge, present and expanding, about essential oils she has also successfully worked with animals according to the principles of Zoopharmacognosy, which is a fast growing science about the ability of animals to select their own medication in form of herbs, essences, clays, essential oils etc as and when needed.
