We are Dionne and Emma, founders of Saplings Forest School. We have used our combined experience of Early Years, secondary teaching and being mums of four children to bring you Saplings Forest School.
Between us, we have nearly 20 years of teaching practice, covering Early Years up to secondary education. We have both completed our Forest Leadership L3 training and are really excited about putting our knowledge into practise.
Saplings Forest School provides a unique provision which allows children to learn in a woodland setting, exploring, investigating, creating, and at the forefront having fun. At Saplings Forest School, we value and nurture play, because we know during the all-important early years, it is one of the best ways for children to learn.
We believe that every child is different and has the right to be able to experience and explore the exciting world around them in a caring and supportive environment which allows their personal growth. Every child will leave us with more confidence, independence, better self-awareness and a true love for learning. Children learn at a pace which suits them and are encouraged to follow their own learning pathway guided by ourselves.
