If you like an old-fashioned Aladdin's cave type of shop, this is for you. The shop is located in the rural countryside of N.Ireland within the largest recognised town-land in Europe; Aghadowey. Aghadowey (from Irish Achadh Dubhthaigh, meaning "Duffy's field is part of Coleraine Borough Council Area and easily accessable from the major towns of Cloeraine, Ballymoney, Portstewart, Portrush, Garvagh, Maghera, Magherafelt, Ballymena, Limavady, Kilrea, Portglenone, Randalstown, Moneymore Cookstown and Londonderry.
The shop is located on the Ardreagh Road, 150 metres from the town-lands war memorial and 2 miles off the northern section of the A29 and situated just 10 miles from the beautiful north coast area of Northern Ireland. The shop can be found based with the heart of the Aghadowey community in an old Victorian buildiding that has seen many uses over time such as the local post office, morgue and corner shop. The Victorian tiled floors and walls, and marble shelves are still there.
We stock everything and anything that is old, curious or useful, past or future antiques for as long as it takes for someone to spot an item's potential. As a result the shop is literally bursting with items to interest most who arrive to spend time searching for a gem. If we don’t have it at Sarah Rose Antiques; its either not been invented yet and passed on to history as an antique or it may be an item that is a little harder to acquire than most. Given time we can promise that most items can be sourced. So if you’re a collector, have a request simply for a gift or just in search of a particular treasure we will try our best to locate it for you ourselves.
