What is it?

Venture for the support of the Arts, Culture and Education in the Aboyne Community and surrounding areas.

Target audience?
Villagers and broader community of all ages and social/economical backgrounds. Whoever wishes to use the service. Young children and beyond.

Aims:
Scene on the Green aims to initiate and support the production and display of all creative and cultural activities in Aboyne, within an atmosphere of respect and safety.

It aims at being an educational, artistic and inspirational venue.

It is a place for meeting others, socialising and expanding one's knowledge.

It aims to become an integral part of the life of the village, together with its annual calendar of events. Helping to attract and retain visitors to Aboyne.

How?
Scene on the Green proposes to offer an interesting and diverse annual programme of activities to cater for all age groups.

It will, alongside its educational programme, provide opportunities for the community to interact and 'get to know' one another in a safe and inspiring atmosphere.

It will attempt to link with other community groups in the village to expand on existing opportunities relating to the cultural, educational, social life and tourism of Aboyne.

It will make use of local professionals, students and broader community for the running of its activities. Be it as paid providers or volunteers. Offering a place for working-skills and social-skills to be developed.
