Our coaches ensure complete professionalism and encourage players to realise their full potential.

The club was founded in 1997 by George Carpenter ex-England international. From 2000 onwards, Sedgefield have been one of the strongest clubs in the country, a marvelous achievement considering the small population of Durham compared to big clubs such as Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool and London Invicta. Sedgefield is relatively small and has members of all ages.

Training times

Monday
Woodham School pool: for 2002’s and later. Term time only 5.15 to 6.45 pm
Tuesday
Newton Aycliffe: 8 till 9 pm swimming training for all ages.
9 till 10 pm Water Polo for older members
Thursday
Spennymoor: 7.30 till 8.30 Swimming training all ages.
8.30 till 9.30 pm Water Polo for older members.
Friday
Newton Aycliffe: 7.45 till 9.30 pm RTC 30 weeks of the year and other nights club session.
Coaches will advise on nights not RTC.
Saturday
Newton Aycliffe: 5 till 6.30 pm Swimming and Water Polo for young members.
6 till 7.30 pm Swimming and Water Polo for older members.
Sunday
Spennymoor: Swimming Training for ALL members 8 till 9.30 am. This is an essential session for all members fitness development young and old.


The more sessions you attend will only be beneficial to your development and progress. Younger members should aim for three sessions. Older members involved in International squads should be attending all sessions open to them and Northumbria training on Monday’s
