Segrue Books of Radlett, a local bookshop with a handpicked selection of books and Stationary. Monmouth coffee, Tea Pigs and Home Made Cake.

Segrue Books is a family owned independent bookshop in the heart of Radlett in Hertfordshire, only 25 minutes from London St Pancras by train and 2 minutes walk from Radlett station. We are situated in a slightly elevated central part of the high street, with a coffee bar in the window and out side seating under awnings. We have 1500 sq ft of books for adults and children, the selection is hand picked by our manager Ruth and our lead Bookseller Chris. We aim to provide a curated selection of the best books published. The range includes fiction section hardback and paperback, non-fiction ranging from history, politics and popular science through to cookery, gardening and interior design and art.

Monmouth Coffee is served in glasses and all staff have barista training, we pride ourselves on the quality of our coffee and the way it is served. For tea we use Tea Pigs and always have 8 flavours on offer – all of which is served in bone china cups. Cakes are all locally sourced from local home bakers and include healthier options. All the cakes are sourced by the propitiator Amanda.

We have hand picked our selection of cards and wrapping paper aiming to source from suppliers not seen all over the high street, working with many independent designers in order to present an appealing and unique choice for you. Stationary and gifts are also selected by Amanda and David Segrue from interesting designers that we like. There is a small selection of gifts for children including some wooden toys and games. If there isn’t a book you are looking for, we still just might have a little something that’s appealing to you.

We will happily wrap any purchase in tissue paper and ribbon at no extra charge – or you can choose to buy from our selection of gift wrap on sale – we will happily use your paper to gift wrap for you.

We have aimed to create a bright and relaxed environment where you can relax with a coffee and cake or browse the shelves and relax on an occasional chair while you make your decision on which books to purchase.
