On the southern edge of the North York Moors National
Park, and 20 miles north of York, Shallowdale House
was built at the beginning of the 1960's on a sheltered
south-facing hillside overlooking an exquisite landscape
of unspoilt English countryside, which has been designated
an area of outstanding natural beauty.
We have been providing bed and breakfast accommodation and dinner here since 1998, in a quiet, civilised and ungimmicky way .
We extend a warm welcome to an
