Shanklin Sandown Rowing Club is a warm, friendly club based at Shanklin, Isle of Wight. Training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8 at the clubhouse.

Shanklin Rowing Club is a warm, friendly rowing club based in Shanklin, on the southern tip of the Isle of Wight. The club competes in the Hants and Dorset ARA, a 12 club association. The club attends local and national Head races and the South Coast Championships as well as the 13 Hants and Dorset regatta's yearly. As a club we have also competed at National Championships, National Junior Inter-Regionals and National Indoor Rowing Championships. The club boasts an Olympic gold medalist. Louis Attril started his rowing career at Shanklin in the 1990's and rowed with the club for 5 years, before he went to University and subsiquently ended up rowing in the GB olympic gold medal winning eight at Sydney.

The club welcomes anyone wishing to take up the sport or wanting to give it a go feel free to come down, the club trains every Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm-9pm. And additional training is arranged and duely made known. Feel free to come down to club, it is along Shanklin esplanade opposite the cliff lift.
