Handcrafted Goodies from a Cotswold Hilltop

Hello! My name is Kimberley and I love my crafts! I live in the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire in my lovely little home called Kiln on the Hilltop. It has always been my dream to spend my days working with natural materials to create pretty and useable gifts. I live here with my fab boyfriend and little girl, a beautiful old lurcher Oscar and crazy spaniel Islay; all of who put up with a house full of willow, brambles, herbs, yarn, sewing machines, crochet hooks and knitting needles,. Together we are a hurricane of fun, crafts, tail chasing and outdoorsyness!!

Surrounded by the farm I get all my inspiration from the surrounding countryside and I love working with new materials. The family help immensely and none of this would have been possible without them; Oscar follows me around the garden and farm in search of materials and gets very interested in each new creation. As I started creating my animal structures my daughter started naming them. Each of them is created around the natural characteristics of the willow so each looks slightly different and takes on its own personality, I adored the names and the animals became members of the family instantly! This is the reason all my structures have their own identity, all chosen by my daughter India!

The future of SilvaKiln? Well, I hope to expand and work with new ideas and materials to create an all round shop offering a variety of gift and home ideas so stay tuned! If there are any ideas that you have please let me know! I love a challenge and would love to create individual items and one offs for you!
