Hi welcome to my facebook page! I am a birdwatcher and photographer which has now become the biggest passion of my life! My main bird species interest are herons, egrets and bitterns but I love all birds and love seeing and photographing new species of birds.
I started birding when I was very young going to nature reserves and other places in England. I am from Southend-On-Sea and have grown to love all the wildlife locally. I have in the past 7 years got in to wildlife photography. My main wildlife subject is birds and love being part of in wildlife discussions sharing my passion and knowledge with people of all ages both online and outdoors. I also enjoy reading wildlife books including factual/information, biographies and true stories.
I have a wide knowledge of wildlife and conservation due to my wildlife hobbies and work experience through the RSPB and bird ringing. I have previously written local wildlife information sheets for the Lifeboat station on Southend Pier and the RSPB Watt Tyler.

I go birding many places some local and some further away places. My favourite reserves are Two Tree Island in Leigh-on-Sea, rspb Rainham Marshes and RSPB Minsmere Suffolk.
I belong to a lovely local birding facebook group called Birding in Essex (B.I.E) and have made many friends and learnt and seen many new bird species on my trips out with them, mainly to rainham marshes.

I also go to monthly evening talks/meetings at Belfairs Woods Essex Wildlife and RSPB Rainham Marshes.
