At The Spire Specialist Care Centre we welcome patients and their families into a relaxed and specialist environment.

The Centre is a purpose built treatment facility that hosts the very latest technologies used in the treatment of cancer. The facility has a dedicated Toshiba Aquilion large bore scanner that is utilised in the planning of radiotherapy treatment. The eclipse dosimetry planning system is used to design and produce radiotherapy patient specific plans.

As a Centre dedicated to the treatment of cancer we are well equipped to carry out a number of treatments for both chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Our highly experienced team are always on hand to offer further information and reassurances should you have any questions about your treatment.

Radiotherapy treatments are delivered on a Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerator. This is the latest and most technically advanced Varian treatment machine that will be used to deliver Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy, coupled with Image Guided Radiotherapy. These treatment techniques offer the optimum in radiotherapy treatment delivery whilst potentially keeping side effects to a minimum. The centre has excellent transport links with ample free parking and a relaxed reception area. Patients are cared for at the centre by a highly skilled dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

We understand that having friends or relatives attend with you for your radiotherapy can be comforting. Please feel free to bring friends or relatives with you. For their safety and yours they are limited to the areas they will be able to accompany you. We have special advice for children visiting the centre; please advise us if you are bringing children under 12 years old to the centre.
