Standing up for Northallerton

This page has been created to campaign for the economic and social life blood of northallerton in North Yorkshire.

Northallerton is the county town of North Yorkshire in north east England over the last few months we have had maternity and children services downgraded or withdrawn from the local friarage hospital , the rural payments agency in northallerton is closing with the loss of 400 jobs and now over 130 jobs are being lost with the closure of the local prison.

The conservative government have never been uable to understand the wider economic and social impact of there policies and actions on the wider community.

In northallerton these job losses shall result in the loss of confidence of new Businesses to invest in the area and existing companies reducing THIER own workforce or not recruiting additional employees and postponing investment , empty shops staying empty for much longer, the ability and resources of local bodies to invest in the area shall be diminished , crime may rise as well as the impact on personal budgets and more people find themselves in debt , mental health problems increase as well as many t other social and economic issues as a result.

This government and its local mp rt hon William Hague has failed this community and this page has been created in an effort for local bodies, business, schools,community groups and the wider community of northallerton to come together to fight for the survival and the future of northallerton.
