We are actively seeking new members! The more people we have the more work we can do. We meet on the last Wednesday of every month at the Crown and Glove, Uppergate Road, Stannington, 8pm.
You do NOT need to have been a member of the armed services, a lot of our members just have an interest in the forces and in helping support a great cause.
you do NOT need to be old our youngest members are 15 years old so we have a wide age group.

Description: The Stannington and District Branch, which includes Hillsborough, Oughtibridge and everywhere in between, is one of the most active Royal British Legion branches in the region.

We fundraise for the Poppy Appeal and have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds over the years, but we also play an active part in promoting the Legion. We attend many events in our region and hand out leaflets about the work of the legion, ensuring the public know exactly how their Poppy Appeal donations make a difference to their community.
We also help and support local community organisations like the Sea Cadets, Army Cadets, Air Cadets and Marine Cadets.
