Stonehouse Jubilee Club offers a social setting for people with dementia, and their carer. Music, quizzes, outings and a "listening ear" for carers.
The SJC was founded in March 2012 and is a unique meeting place for people with Alzheimers and other forms of dementia, and their carers. We meet on Thursday afternoons from 1.30 - 3.30 in the Lifestyles Centre, Stonehouse where we have fun quizzes designed to aid memory, music and singalongs, activities, outings, regular live musicians and a lot of laughs. The majority of our volunteers have experience of caring for a loved one with a dementia and are happy to offer a "listening ear" to carers.
