St Thomas Methodist Church is an English speaking Methodist Church in the small town of Lampeter, a town in the south of Ceredigion.

The first Methodist Church in Lampeter was built in 1806 located in what are now the grounds of the University. On our current site, a Welsh speaking Methodist church was first built in 1828, and rebuilt in 1875. In 1983, for a variety of reasons, the then members asked for the church to be transferred to the English-speaking Circuit.

Over the years, the building had developed significant faults and with a local membership of only 22, the brave decision was taken to knock down the building and rebuild on the same site. During the months of the demolition and rebuilding, from May 1991 to November 1992, we held services in St Peter's Church hall, by kind permission of our Anglican friends. In December 1992, this building was opened.

Since that time we are delighted to say that our membership and attendance has increased and we are now a thriving family church with members from a wide variety of church backgrounds and from all over the world.
