Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is the fastest growing water sport in the world and is a great fun outdoor activity for all the family!

We cater for ages 8 - 80+ and all abilities. Never been on the water before? No problem!

You don't need to be fit to SUP and you don't need to be able to swim as you will wear a bouyancy aid - if you can walk to the shops then we can teach you to stand up paddleboard!

You don't have to be tough to go out when the sun isn't shining as the wetsuits we use are £120+ good quality 5mm thick winter wetsuits that are designed to keep you warm when actually IN the water for 2 hours in the middle of winter so they WILL keep you warm even if you fall in!

There is something special about skimming along on the water being pushed along by the tide, taking in the amazing scenery that this part of Snowdonia has to offer.

Because of its position at the mouth of the beautiful Mawddach estuary with it's two pretty harbours and long, safe sandy beach, Barmouth is a fantastic location to SUP for those looking for an introduction to the sport as well as those who are looking to take part in a guided SUP tour or SUP adventure.

We are affiliated with Merioneth Yacht Club in Barmouth Harbour so we have the use of the club's changing rooms, showers and toilets for our guests as well as the club bar over-looking the harbour where anyone not taking part can sit and enjoy a cup of tea and watch all the action.

We would love to introduce you to this amazing new way of enjoying the stunning Mawddach estuary or the beautiful Cardigan bay so get down here and take part in this incredible experience!

We have a variety of stand up paddleboarding experiences available from tasters to long gentle cruises along the Mawddach. For those who wish to discover the thrill of SUP then Barmouth is a great place to learn!

We provide warm winter wetsuits and boots and we cater for all ages and abilities - no previous experience is necessary!

Prices

We use O'Shea Paddle boards based in North Wales. They are super-stable and you'll be standing up confidently in no time. We have good quality O'Shea wetsuits and bouyancy aids to keep you warm and safe so you won't get cold if you fall in - promise!

All you need to bring is a swimsuit or trunks to wear under your wetsuit, an old pair of trainers that you don't mind getting wet and a towel.

PRICES

SUP Taster Session

– Get to grips with stand-up paddleboarding on flat water. In just one hour, we will get you up and riding and by the end of the session, you will almost certainly be able to confidently paddle a board. Above all, you will be having fun and will want to have another go!

1 Hour £25 per person

Family/Group Package – £80 for four people. Extra persons £20.00 each.

All lessons (except private lessons) require a minimum of 2 people to run

Learn to SUP Session

- This is the perfect introduction to learn how to stand up paddleboard. You will learn about hazards, self-rescue, posture, balance and equipment. You will become familiar with the board and the basic paddle techniques. The lesson is jam packed with useful tips and techniques so you quickly gain your confidence - and loads of laughter!

2 hours £40 per person

Family/Group Package – 2 hours £130 for four people. Extra persons £30.00 each.

All lessons (except private lessons) require a minimum of 2 people to run

Mawddach SUP Cruise

– a one-way cruise of the stunning Mawddach estuary This is an amazing cruise of the estuary using tides, wind and local conditions to our advantage. We will start or finish at either the George III, next to the toll bridge at Penmaenpool, or The Last Inn in Barmouth where at the end of the tour you can enjoy a well-earned drink next to the water before we take you back to the start point. A Go-Pro camera will be attached to the instructors board to capture your entire journey on camera so that you can have a record to show your friends and we’ll also post pictures on our facebook page that you can tag yourselves in.

3 hours £55 per person

Family/Group Package – £160 for four people. Extra persons £40.00 each.

To book a cruise you MUST have completed at least our 1hr introductory session


Private 1 to 1 Session

– Private stand up paddleboard lessons are ideal for anyone who would like this level of individual attention and feedback. They can also be the perfect option for couples or families that would like to enjoy their lessons in a way that is customised especially for them – see our group rates.
